BFC Baseball results 5/13/25 vs NDP @ BFC DH

Game 1:

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures Make Comeback Attempt, But Fall To Notre Dame 

Despite a 9-run deficit in the third inning, Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures almost came all the way back, eventually falling 10-8 to Notre Dame Prep on Tuesday. Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures closed the gap by scoring on a walk, a hit by pitch, a fielder's choice, a single, a ground out, a sacrifice fly, and a hit by pitch.

Notre Dame Prep jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning after an error scored one run, ground out, scoring one run, a walk, scoring one run, and a single, scoring two runs.

Notre Dame Prep added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after hitting a sacrifice fly, and double down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Notre Dame Prep scored two more runs in the top of the third on a home run to left field.

Tad Dobek began the game for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. The righty allowed six hits and nine runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking three. 


Number seven hitter, Connor Kokenos, showed the depth of Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures's lineup, by leading them with two hits in two at bats. Dobek and Stephen Tortora each drove in two runs for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. Carson Coles led Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Mason Kanar stole two bases.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures Loses Pitchers Duel To Notre Dame Prep

Both teams were strong on the mound on Tuesday, but Notre Dame Prep was just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 2-1 victory over Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. Mason Kanar started the game for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures and recorded 18 outs.

Notre Dame Prep opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. 


Kanar led things off on the bump for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. The hurler gave up six hits and two runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out seven and walking two.

Kanar led Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures with one run batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-2 on the day. Leadoff hitter Carson Coles led Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures with two hits in three at bats. Cooper Dolot and Coles each stole multiple bases for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures stole five bases in the game.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures Cannot Hold Onto Lead Versus Father Gabriel Richard

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures lost to Father Gabriel Richard 13-8 on Thursday even though they once led by four runs.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures lost despite out-hitting FGR seven to five. Mason Kanar led Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures with two hits.

FGR got on the board in the first inning after a passed ball scored one run.

Cole Brinkmeier singled to center field, which helped Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures tie the game at one in the top of the second.

Father Gabriel Richard took the lead in the bottom of the second. A passed ball scored one run, to give FGR the leg up, 2-1.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Nolan Murawski that drove in two.

FGR flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 8-6.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures had trouble keeping up with Notre Dame Prep in a 15-0 loss on Tuesday.

Notre Dame Prep jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after #12 singled, scoring two runs, #2 singled, scoring one run, and #21 hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Notre Dame Prep added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when #12 singled, scoring two runs, and #3 grounded out, scoring one run.

Notre Dame Prep scored seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. #7 drew a walk, scoring one run, #12 singled, scoring two runs, #3 singled, scoring one run, #2 singled, scoring one run, #11 hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and #5 singled, scoring one run.

Tad Dobek began the game for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and four runs (two earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking one. #21 started the game for Notre Dame Prep. The starter allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking none.

Game 1:

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures Breeze Past Cabrini Varsity Monarchs

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures easily dispatched Cabrini Varsity Monarchs on Wednesday, 10-0 on top of Senior Tad Dobek’s No-hitter!

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures opened the scoring in the first after Mason Kanar hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Declan Schwartz walked, and Carson Coles singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures added one run in the third. Cabrini Varsity Monarchs committed an error, making the score 4-0.

Tad Dobek earned the win for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. The pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking three. 


Kanar drove the middle of the lineup, leading Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures with two runs batted in. The center fielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Cabrini Varsity Monarchs were the first to get on the board in the first on a single, scoring two runs.

A dropped third strike extended the Cabrini Varsity Monarchs lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the second inning.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Tad Dobek that drove in two.

Mason Kanar hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fifth for the Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures.

Cooper Dolot earned the win for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. The hurler surrendered nine hits and four runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking two. 


Dobek provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Connor Kokenos led Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures with two hits in four at bats. Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures turned two double plays in the game.

Game #1 . Mason Kanar drove in five runs on two hits to lead Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures past Our Lady of the Lakes 20-7 on Tuesday. Kanar hit a grand slam to left field in the eighth inning, scoring four runs, and doubled in the fifth inning, scoring one.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures rallied for the victory despite trailing 6-1 in the second.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures opened the scoring in the first after #16 induced Kanar to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Our Lady of the Lakes flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.

Despite seeing their 4-run lead whittled down by the end, Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures still held off for a 5-4 victory on Tuesday. Shrine Catholic closed the gap by scoring on a walk, a walk, an error, and an error.

Mason Kanar struck out 11 batters on the day. The pitcher also gave up five hits and four runs over six innings while walking five.

Tad Dobek struck out 19 batters on the day. The righty also surrendered two hits and three runs over 10 innings while walking one.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures got on the board in the first inning after Dobek singled, scoring two runs.

Greenhills added one run in the second after Love singled.

Kanar earned the win for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. The hurler surrendered two hits and two runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking four. #21 started on the hill for Greenhills. The starting pitcher gave up zero hits and three runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out seven and walking five.
