Abbey Jones Leads Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures Past Riverview Gabriel Richard


Abbey Jones collected four hits in four at bats, as Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures defeated Riverview Gabriel Richard 14-0 on Tuesday. Jones singled in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the second inning.

Sasha Walker struck out 13 batters on the day. The right-handed pitcher also surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings while walking five.

A double by Emma Behnke on a full count put Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures on the board in the bottom of the first.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures Fall To Regina Saddlelites After Surrendering Big Fifth Inning

Regina Saddlelites scored seven runs in the fifth inning, which helped them defeat Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures 9-0 on Tuesday.

Regina Saddlelites got on the board in the fourth inning after Chloe Younes grounded out, scoring one run.

Regina Saddlelites scored seven runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Mia Bas singled, scoring one run, Younes drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Sara Wilking singled, scoring one run, and Drew VanAssche singled, scoring two runs.

Sasha Walker opened the game for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and nine runs (two earned) over six innings, striking out nine and walking three. Veve Lewis started in the circle for Regina Saddlelites. The righty allowed one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking nine.

Strong Hitting Not Enough As Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures Falls To Groves Falcons Varsity

Even though Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures collected nine hits to Groves Falcons Varsity's four, they still fell 7-5 on Saturday. Sasha Walker, Emma Behnke, and Ava Gingiloski each collected two hits for Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures got on the board in the third inning after Mary Maltese drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, Groves Falcons Varsity went back into the lead after Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures committed an error, and Charlie Gress singled to right field, each scoring two runs.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures jumped into the lead in the top of the fourth when Gingiloski singled, scoring one run, and Walker doubled, scoring three runs.

Groves Falcons Varsity captured the lead, 7-5, in the bottom of the sixth after Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures committed an error, Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures committed an error, and Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures committed an error, each scoring one run.

A ground out by Maddy Drapal put Groves Falcons Varsity on the board in the bottom of the first.

Emma Stark grounded out, which helped Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures tie the game at one in the top of the second.

Groves Falcons Varsity flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-1. The biggest blow in the inning was an inside the park home run by Charlie Gress that drove in two.

Sasha Walker was dominant in the circle, as the righty rang up 15 strikeouts in Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures's 5-2 victory over SCA STARS on Monday. Walker surrendered zero hits and two runs over seven innings while walking two.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the fifth when Emma Behnke homered to center field, scoring three runs.

SCA STARS got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Allison Foreman grounded out, and Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures dropped a third strike, each scoring one run.

Bishop Foley Varsity Ventures tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a single by Leah Rovner, and a ground out by Emma Stark.

Soseh Broglin stepped in the circle first for SCA STARS. The lefty surrendered seven hits and five runs over six innings, striking out 12 and walking one.
